If you’re a Milwaukee Bucks fan, then you probably already know the answer to this question: According to the New York Times, what do you get when you cross “the ball-handling skills of a point guard and the battering ram force of an old school center”? The answer: Giannis Antetokounmpo, the player ESPN called “the best basketball player alive”. Bucks fans (and NBA fans across the country) simply know him as the Greek Freak.
In 1991, Antetokounmpo’s parents left Nigeria and immigrated to Athens, Greece. As Greece does not have birthright citizenship, when Antetokounmpo was born in 1994, he had no legal citizenship in either Greece or Nigeria.
