Former St. Louis Rams WR has now spent more than a decade waiting for the Pro Football Hall of Fame honor. But, once again, Torry Holt did not hear his name this season. And now, the Hall of Fame snub feels less like a debate and more like a repeated mistake.
Although the star has been tight-lipped about most of the situation, during his recent chat on the Up and Adams podcast, he finally reflected his disappointment over that matter.
Torry Holt’s Résumé Leaves No Room for Doubt

In the latest episode of “Up and Adams” with Kay Adams, Torry Holt said that he deserves the HOF Honor and his elite resume is the biggest proof:
“I’m disappointed, but I’m not discouraged,” Holt said on the show. “My résumé hasn’t changed and the film doesn’t lie. I was the most productive wide receiver of the 2000s.”
"I belong in that room with them..."

His statements accurately reflected his dominant career. The Rams acquired Holt sixth overall in the 1999 NFL Draft. From 2000 to 2009, the superstar topped the NFL in receptions. Not only that, he ended his 11-year career with 920 catches, 13,382 receiving yards and 74 TDs. He made seven Pro Bowls, earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2003, and won Super Bowl XXXIV with the Rams.
Holt had eight straight seasons with 1,000 yards and six straight seasons with 1,300 yards. In 2000, he had the most receiving yards in the NFL with 1,635 yards. In 2003, he had the most again with 1,696 yards. That stretch was hard for most receivers in league history.
When we compare that production with that of recent inductees, Andre Johnson entered the Hall in 2024 with 14,185 yards. Calvin Johnson earned enshrinement earlier with 11,619 yards. Holt’s numbers sit comfortably in that company.
The HOF snubs look even stranger when you consider context. QB Kurt Warner, RB Marshall Faulk, WR Isaac Bruce, and tackle Orlando Pace all own gold jackets. Every main piece of the “Greatest Show on Turf” offense stands in Canton except Holt. He has reached the final stage seven straight years. He has made the semifinalist list every year of eligibility. That consistency signals respect.
The final vote still denies him. At some point, the argument runs out. The production stands. The era of dominance stands. The All-Decade Team selection stands. The selection committee keeps saying Wait. The résumé keeps saying now.
