Less than 800 people reside in Convent, Louisiana, the county seat of St. James Parish and the hometown of one of the NFL’s best wide receivers. Jarvis Landry is proof that big things can come out of small packages. At Lutcher High School, he had a stellar career, being named the fourth-best wide receiver in the country as well as lettering in track for his work as a long jumper.
As a five star recruit, Landry had numerous offers but chose to take his talents to LSU, where he played on the 2011 SEC championship team. In his junior year, he was named Second Team All-SEC. He decided to enter the NFL draft after three seasons and was taken by the Miami Dolphins in the second round.
