Jaire Alexander was born in Philadelphia. However, he played out his high school career in Charolette, North Carolina where he attended Rocky River High School. He registered 30 tackles, four interceptions, and 10 pass breakups in 12 games during his senior season. He also played wide receiver racking up 18 touchdowns.

As a freshman Alexander did not see extended time on the defensive side of the ball. However he still found a way to make an impact on special teams. He played in 12 games, making one start, and recorded 19 tackles, one interception, and three passes defended. He was the team’s top punt returner with 223 return yards on 23 attempts. He had five returns of over 20 yards.
As a sophomore Alexander established himself as one of the top cover corners in the country. He started all 13 games and led the team with five interceptions. He recorded 39 total tackles, five interceptions and one punt return touchdown.
In his third and final season at Louisville he played in just six games due to knee and hand injuries. However, he had done enough to make himself a clear first round prospect.
Jaire Alexander was the second cornerback selected in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Cleveland Browns selected Denzel Ward with the fourth overall selection, and the Green Bay Packers selected Alexander with the No. 18 selection. As a rookie Alexander made 11 starts. He had 66 tackles, one interception, and 11 passes defended. He was named to the 2018 NFL All-Rookie Team.
Alexander has continued to produce since then. He has started in 29 games and has recorded 10 interceptions, 271 tackles, and 63 passes defended. He was named to his first Pro Bowl in 2020. He was also named a AP Second Team All-Pro.
He missed significant time in 2021 with an injury, but came back as good as ever in 2022. He had a career high five interceptions and was named to his second Pro Bowl. He was also named an AP Second Team All-Pro for the second time.
The 27-year-old has become known for his confident style of play and always speaking his mind. He is one of the top-corners in the NFL and the Packers made sure to pay him as such. The team signed him to a four-year, $84 million contract extension in 2022.
