Former Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn is one of the most recognizable names from the Super Bowl XLV team. After playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his rookie season in 2006, the Packers signed him. What followed was a nine-year stint that saw the Packers transition from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers, from a team rebuilding to a Super Bowl champion.

While there are players with better accolades, Kuhn was the workhorse doing all the dirty work asked of him. Whether it was blocking defensive ends in the passing game, taking on linebackers in the run game, or bullying his way for a one-yard first down or score, John Kuhn was as reliable a player as the Packers had.

In his nine seasons with the Packers, Kuhn had 601 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. He also had 557 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Kuhn then spent two seasons with the New Orleans Saints at the end of his career. He since returned to Wisconsin and has become a major player in the sports media market.

Green Bay Packers fans can see Kuhn working as a reporter on the sidelines and in the booth before and during Packers games. Additionally, John Kuhn has his own radio show on 97.3 The Game, an outlet of iHeart Milwaukee. This show, “Nine to Noon with John Kuhn” is cohosted by Wisconsin Badgers legend Brian Butch and airs daily. On this platform, Kuhn interviews both current and former Packers players and covers all major Wisconson sports stories.

Mayfield Sports Marketing has been happy to book John Kuhn for past events and looks forward to securing the former player turned media professional in the future.

THE BIG 920 UNVEILS “GREEN & GOLD WEDNESDAY” FEATURING GILBERT BROWN

MILWAUKEE –With a full slate of practice and press conferences, Wednesday is traditionally a big news day for the Green Bay Packers and their passionate fans.

It’s about to get even bigger.

The Big 920, Milwaukee’s sports station, is proud to announce that Packers Legend defensive lineman Green Bay legend Gilbert “The Gravedigger” Brown will join the broadcast lineup on “Green & Gold Wednesday” during the football season.

Brown, a fan favorite during two stints Green Bay (1993-’99; 2001-’03), will host “GRAVEDIGGER RADIO” on Wednesday and will make monthly appearances during a live broadcast on Wednesday nights at The Crest, 257 W. Broadway in historic downtown Waukesha.

“Our weekly ‘Wednesday Night Live’ show at The Crest in downtown Waukesha is quickly becoming a tradition for all football fans in the area,” Nelles said. “And with Gilbert joining the show – on location – once per month, it’s a must-listen and must-visit event!”

A member of the Packers’ Super Bowl XXXI championship team that will mark its 20th anniversary next year, Brown was known for gobbling opposing ballcarriers and burgers during his time in Green Bay.

Brown played in 125 games with the Packers and was credited with 292 tackles and seven sacks. He played in 15 playoff games, which ranks second behind Hall of Famer Brett Favre (22) on the storied franchise’s all-time list. Since retiring after the 2003 season, Brown has remained active in Wisconsin in a variety of business and charitable endeavors, including youth football camps and The Gilbert Brown Foundation.

“Gilbert is as well-known and as active in the Milwaukee community as any member of the Packers’ Super Bowl XXXVI team,” Nelles said. “And I can’t wait for him to share his unfiltered – and often hilarious – opinions on the current Packers with me every Wednesday.”
