Like Matthews, he was a major part of the Super Bowl defense in 2010. Hawk played nine seasons and 142 games as a Packer. During that time, he also put up great numbers:
Hawk is the all-time tackles leader for the Green Bay Packers. It will be nearly impossible for Rashan Gary to reach that mark at his position. Keisean Nixon was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season for the Green Bay Packers. Nixon was a contributor in more than one way for the team in 2022, but he shined as a kick returner. He was named a First Team All-Pro despite not taking over the role until November after the release of Amari Rodgers.
Nixon signed as an undrafted free agent with the Raiders in 2019 after playing college football at the University of South Carolina. After being primarily a special teams player with the Raiders, he built a familiarity with Rich Bissacia. While he was a member of the Raiders, he only logged six attempts as a kick returner.
The Green Bay Packers struggled greatly in the return game until Keisean Nixon came along. He led the league in kick return yards with 1,009 kick return yards on 32 attempts.
Not only did Nixon provide exceptional return skills, but he also showcased his ability on defense. He started four games on defense and even recorded an interception. He primarily played the nickel position on the defensive side of the ball and played a big role in the defensive turnaround in the final weeks of the season.
Nixon will surely begin the 2023 season as the team's primary kick returner. The team has tried different players as punt returners, but it is not out of the question for Nixon to handle punts and kickoffs. He had 11 attempts as a punt returner. He will look to make the All-Pro team for the second consecutive season as a returner.
Keisean Nixon is also set up for a bigger role on defense in 2o23. He is the team's starting nickel corner and has seen first-team reps all offseason. Nixon's athleticism allows him to keep up with quick and fast slot receivers, while Jaire Alexander and Rasul Douglas can excel as outside corners.
The most surprising part of Nixon's 2023 season may be his potential on offense. Matt LaFleur discussed getting Nixon the ball on offense back in March, but he was seen catching passes with the group when the team began practices.
"Kei’, he’s a dynamic player,” LaFleur said via Packers.com. “I was joking with him, I said, ‘Hey, you never know, there might be some opportunities offensively.’ And I know he was fired up to hear that. For us, it truly is. If he can handle it, I’ve got no problem putting him in there in some situations on offense. But got to make sure that we take care of that nickel spot first and foremost and continue to progress as a returner.”

The Green Bay Packers' defense has some extra pressure on them with a new quarterback at the helm. However, the defense is loaded with first-round picks, Pro Bowlers, and All-Pros. One of those talented stars is defensive tackle, Kenny Clark.
Clark was drafted by the Packers in 2016 and has been a force on their defensive line. He has primarily played nose tackle, but he could see some more snaps at defensive end in 2023 as the Packers try to get all of their talent on the field at once.
Kenny Clark is one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL and has been a consistent force for the Packers in his NFL career. Clark is also proven to be consistently available for the team. In seven seasons, he has only missed seven games. He has been named to the Pro Bowl twice in his career. In 2022, the Green Bay Packers drafted Devonte Wyatt from the University of Georgia.
Wyatt and Clark both play defensive tackle. Towards the end of the season, Wyatt had earned himself more and more snaps and was really showing what he could do. His development allows the Packers to move Clark to take more defensive end snaps so that he and Wyatt can both cause problems for offenses at the same time. Wyatt is a young player and not at the same level as Clark. It would be easier for Clark to take snaps at the defensive end due to his experience in the NFL.
In addition to Wyatt's emergence, the Packers lost veteran defensive ends Dean Lowry and Jarran Reed in free agency. Clark could easily take some more snaps at the defensive end and let Devonte Wyatt and Tedarrell Slaton continue to grow.
Kenny Clark seems to like the idea of moving around, as it lets the Packers get all of their playmakers on the field. The Packers value versatility up front, and Kenny Clark feels he can play anywhere.
"Wherever they need me to fit I’m fitting in at and I’m comfortable with that. I feel like I can play everywhere, regardless, the 5 [technique], the 3 [technique], the nose. When it comes game time, I think I’m going to be all over the field. So, it’s going to be cool for us. I like it.

Clark is now the veteran leader on the defense, and he is still only 27. Clark is not only a mentor to the young defensive linemen on the team but is now one of the longest-tenured Packers in the locker room.

Playing quarterback for the Green Bay Packers is one of the most prestigious positions in the NFL. The last 30 years have been a model for greatness for the Packers at the position. Love's biggest asset will be his familiarity with the offense. He has been in Matt LaFleur's offense since he was drafted. He also took reps with the No. 1 offense last offseason since Aaron Rodgers opted not to attend the workouts. Love and LaFleur have worked together long enough for LaFleur to understand what Jordan Love is most comfortable with on the field.
The Packers seem committed to making sure Jordan Love has weapons at his disposal. They already have Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, who Love spent time throwing to last offseason. There are reports that they could draft another wide receiver early in the draft this year. They also worked out a new contract allowing Aaron Jones to remain in Green Bay.
Jordan Love will have a solid group of weapons that can excel in Matt Lafleur's system, and they could add even more. Love will have this entire offseason to gain even more experience, and now that he knows he will be the starter, it will mean more than ever.
Last season when Love came into the game against the Eagles, he looked stellar. The highlight that night was a crossing route he threw to Watson for a 63-yard touchdown. Green Bay's offense could be a lot of the same this season with Jordan Love leading the way as QB1.

The Green Bay Packers have signed quarterback Jordan Love to a one-year contract extension through 2024.
Love spent three seasons backing up Aaron Rodgers before being ushered into the starting role heading into the 2023 season. Love has appeared in 10 games with one start so far in his career since being selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah State.
He played in four games last season, going 14 of 21 with a 66.7 completion percentage. That was good for 195 yards, one TD, and a passer rating of 112.2. The highlight of Love’s 2022 season was a 63-yard TD pass to Christian Watson on Nov. 27 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Heading into the 2023 season, the Packers have a lot of confidence in Love. Matt Lafleur spoke to Packers.com writer Mike Spafford about his confidence in Love.
“He definitely understands that he’s the guy in charge, he’s going to be the guy in the huddle and he’s got to be an extension of us, and we’re excited for him.” LaFleur said. “We’ve got a lot of confidence in him.”

The 2022 season was off to a great start for Rashan Gary. The Michigan product totaled six sacks, 32 combined tackles, and seven tackles for loss through the season's first nine games.

Now he is the Packers' best pass rusher. Gary's offseasons are always filled with individual work and a constant dedication to getting better, but now he has also been rehabbing an injury.
Despite not being a starter in his first two seasons, Gary has become integral to the Packers' defense. The Packers relied heavily on Gary to pressure opposing offenses. When he went down, they struggled in that area.
The market value for Rashan Gary is projected to be a 4-year/$104-million contract with an average of $26 million a year. This would make him the fourth highest-paid outside linebacker in the NFL. The former 12th-overall pick has already proved his value to the franchise, and the team will likely extend the 26-year-old pass rusher.

The Green Bay Packers signed Rasul Douglas on Oct. 7, 2021, from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad. On Oct. 28, he had a game-sealing interception in the end zone against the Cardinals, his former team. Since then, Douglas has become a fan favorite and signed a long-term deal to stay in Green Bay.

LaFleur says Darnell Savage will start out at safety and Rasul Douglas at outside corner. Keisean Nixon will get every opportunity to win the nickel job.

Rasul Douglas' position won't change the impact he can have on the field. Not only does Douglas come away with plenty of interceptions, they often come in clutch time. Since joining the Packers, he has nine interceptions and two touchdowns. LaFleur already confirmed that Douglas will start the year at outside corner, but Brian Gutekunst is confident that Douglas could transition to safety easily if the team wants:
"(Douglas) has such good eyes and instincts when he's back there and seeing the whole field," Gutekunst said. "Anytime you move a guy inside, whether it's the nickel or the safety, and you have both sides you really have to worry about, there's a curve there that's going to take some time to really understand that. But his skill set as far as his eyes, his ability to go get the ball, his angles, his instincts and he's a pretty good tackler, too, he could make that transition if that's what we decided to do."
Rasul Douglas is everything a team wants in a corner. He's physical, tough, clutch and so much more. The coaching staff already knows he has the skill set to play safety if needed, but he can also play nickel. He actually played nickel to begin 2022 but moved back outside when Eric Stokes got hurt.

Jonathan "Rudy" Ford became an important player for the Packers in 2022. Ford was a sixth-round pick out of Auburn, and 2022 was Ford's first season in Green Bay. He spent the majority of his career on special teams, but in 2022 he played more defensive snaps than any other year in his career. His play on defense and special teams has earned him a new one-year contract worth up to $2.5 million.
Ford, like many, has not had an easy road to the NFL. He was born in Alabama, leading to his decision to play at Auburn. As a kid, he was given the nickname "Rudy" by his uncle after the character from the 1993 movie of the same name. Auburn initially recruited Ford as a running back, before he changed positions, finding himself on the defensive side of the ball.
After landing in Arizona, he spent two years there, primarily as a special team's ace. He would then go to the Eagles, where he was also primarily a special teamer. The Jaguars signed Ford to a two-year deal before releasing him in 2022.
His next stop would be Green Bay, where he finally got a chance on defense. The Packers' safety position dealt with some injuries, and the inconsistent play opened the door for Rudy Ford. Ford made six starts for the Packers in 2022, but his breakout game came at Lambeau Field against the Cowboys. The Packers needed to win to keep any hope of the playoffs alive, and Ford delivered two interceptions off of Dak Prescott. Ford showed he could be an impact player on defense, and his snap count kept increasing.
Ford will undoubtedly start 2023 with a different role than in 2022. The Packers have not made a decision on Adrian Amos but added Tarvarius Moore in free agency. Realistically this leaves the safety position in the hands of Moore, Darnell Savage, and Rudy Ford. In 2022, Ford ended the season with three interceptions, 44 tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
There is a chance Ford sees the field as a starter in Week 1, even if the Packers add a safety in the NFL Draft. Ford will also likely have an impact on special teams again in 2023. Last season he played 108 snaps on special teams under Rich Bissacia. If Bissacia thinks Ford will better the special teams, then Ford could see a snap increase there too.
