Jaire Alexander was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 9, 1997. As a senior at Rocky River High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, Alexander had 30 tackles and four interceptions as a cornerback. Alexander was named the fifth-best player in the state of North Carolina by Scout.com after his senior year.
Alexander went to the University of Louisville, where he played in 29 games in three seasons. Over that time, Alexander had 77 total tackles, two tackles for a loss, seven interceptions, 15 passes defended, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble. Alexander was also named second-team All-ACC in 2016
The former Cardinal was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. As a rookie, Alexander started 11 games for the Packers and had 66 total tackles, three tackles for a loss, a half of a sack, one interception, 11 passes defended and recovered two fumbles. For his efforts, Alexander was named to the PFWA (Pro Football Writers Association) All-Rookie Team in 2018.
In 2019 for the Packers, Alexander started all 16 games and had 58 total tackles, two tackles for a loss, two interceptions, 17 passes defended, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. The first interception for Alexander occurred when he picked off Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys and returned the interception for 37 yards, as the Packers won 34-24. In two postseason games for the Packers in 2019, Alexander had 12 total tackles and had one pass defended.
Alexander visited hospitals while he went to Louisville, plus participated in charity events as a rookie with the United Way and the Salvation Army. He was also part of the Green Bay Packers Give Back Bowling Event, which raised over $60,000 for the College Comeback Program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
