The Pro Football Hall of Fame is often criticized by fans for decisions made regarding who gets to enter the prestigious family in Canton, Ohio. One of those instances was when Devin Hester was not a first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee.

However, both of those players, Tim Brown and Deion Sanders, made contributions at their primary positions, ultimately making them Hall of Famers. Although both of them were great returners, that was not the reason they were inducted. Devin Hester made his mark in the NFL primarily as a returner. Fans consequently regard Devin Hester as the greatest returner of all time.
Hester earned first-team all-pro honors three times as a returner and second-team honors once. Hester is third all-time in punt return touchdowns and subsequently has 14 punt return touchdowns. He has six total kick return touchdowns in his career, including one in Super Bowl XLI.
Ultimately, Hester is certainly the best all-around returner the game has ever seen. He has the numbers and all-pro honors to complement the sheer impact he had on any game. The Devin Hester Hall of Fame claims are valid, but whether or not the committee thinks so is another question.

With each passing season, advanced analytics are becoming a larger part of the NFL. And while the metrics can be useful for coaches making decisions and analysts following the game, they don’t always paint the full picture of a player’s impact. Williams signed with the Lions after the team finished 5-11 in 2020. The organization had recently traded franchise QB Matthew Stafford on Jan. 30, 2021. At this time, Jamaal Williams stats throughout his four-year career as a Packer totaled 1,985 rushing yards, 1,191 receiving yards and 18 total TDs.

Throughout his four years with the team, Williams became a leader on and off the field, helping the Packers make several deep playoff runs, finishing with 13 wins in both 2019 and 2020.
However, it was after signing with Detroit in 2021 that Williams really shined on and off the field.
It didn’t take the former Packer to get acquainted with the Motor City. In Week 1 of 2021, Jamaal Williams stats totaled 100 combined yards and a rushing TDs. He finished the year with a career-high in rushing yards while becoming the heart and soul of this Lions team under new head coach Dan Campbell.

He again hit the ground running, finding paydirt twice in Week 1 and six times in the season’s first month.
After the Lions began the season 1-6, they went on a winning streak. This began in Week 9 against the RB’s former team, the Green Bay Packers. In the 15-9 win, the Lions controlled the pace, largely thanks to Jamaal Williams stats, including a season-high 24 carries and a strong 81 yards.
The Lions continued winning, taking seven of their next nine, and Williams continued to shine – on and off-field.

The season came to a head in Week 18. Detroit had a shot at the postseason, needing Seattle to lose and to beat the Packers again to make it. Ultimately, the Seahawks narrowly escaped the Rams in an overtime battle, ending the Lions' playoff chances.
However, the team still gave it their all, knocking off the Packers 20-16 at Lambeau Field. To no surprise, Williams led the Lions in rushing, subsequently totaling 72 yards and scoring twice against his former team.
After the game, Williams got emotional, dedicating the game ball to his late great-grandfather who had recently passed. In addition, Williams had some choice words for the critics:

Jamaal Williams stats totaled 1,066 rushing yards and 17 rushing TDs on the season. He broke Barry Sanders’ single-season franchise TD record while leading the NFL in rushing TDs – posting four more than the next closest.
Maybe more importantly – Williams led the Lions to their first winning season since 2017. From the first day of training camp with his passionate speech to the postgame speech in Green Bay, Williams was always authentically himself.
Williams enters the 2023 offseason as a free agent but will likely be retained by the Lions after his historical season. Jamaal Williams stats are a great example of how they don’t always tell the full picture of a player’s impact on a team. You can’t measure heart.

Throughout his 11-year career, Torry Holt racked up 920 catches, 13,382 yards, and 74 touchdowns. Even on just the surface, Holt has put up elite numbers. However, when you stack them up against current Hall of Famers Issac Bruce and Cris Carter, his numbers seem like they would make him a lock for the hall of fame.
Obviously, Carter and Bruce both had terrific careers and put up great numbers. One thing that makes Holt’s career so impressive is that he achieved almost as much statistically in less time. Bruce, who was Holt’s teammate, played 16 seasons and 223 games. Carter played 134 games in 16 seasons. Torry Holt played 173 games in his 11 seasons. He averaged more yards per game than both of the legendary wideouts for his career.
Ultimately, when you consider that Torry Holt hasn't played as much as other HOF receivers, his numbers become more impressive. Holt’s career definitely deserves to be remembered alongside the greats who have played his position in the NFL Hall of Fame.

The Green Bay Packers have a long, storied history. Throughout this history, numerous running backs have made their mark on the franchise. This past Sunday, against the Chicago Bears, Jones eclipsed 5,000 rushing yards for his career. He became just the fourth running back in Packers history to reach that mark in a Packers uniform. As mentioned, Green is the Packers’ all-time rushing leader with 8,322 yards. Jim Taylor is second with 8,207. Finally, the only other Packers running back ahead of Aaron Jones is John Brockington, who ran for 5,024 yards in his career.
As of Week 14, Aaron Jones has 5,010 career rushing yards.

In the past 15 years, it has not been often when Aaron Rodgers has not been on the field leading the Green Bay Packers offense. Unfortunately, Sunday night proved to be one of those rare instances in which the four-time MVP and future Hall of Famer was unable to finish the game. A rib injury and concern over damage to his internal organs forced Rodgers from the game. While it is never a good thing to see any player go down with an injury, it is even more concerning when it is the franchise player. Fortunately for the Packers, Jordan Love stepped in and dazzled fans, teammates, and the Eagles’ defense with his play.
2020 NFL draft pick Jordan Love entered the game midway through the third quarter. He promptly marched the Packers downfield on a scoring drive that was capped with a Christian Watson touchdown reception. By the games' conclusion, Love had completed six of his nine passes for 113 passing yards and a touchdown.
Although the Packers lost to the Eagles 40-33, Jordan Love’s fantastic play was the talk of social media and news outlets for days. Of course, his Packers teammates were highly complimentary of him, as all good teammates are. Aaron Rodgers even said he felt like, “a proud big brother” watching Love finish the game.
Perhaps, though, some of the highest praise came from Darius Slay, the Pro Bowl defensive back of the Eagles, the very team Love played against. On his own podcast, Slay stated that when Love came in, the Eagles were excited. They expected to shut the young quarterback down quickly. As it turned out, that was not to be the case. Slay said he was very impressed with Love’s play and that “Green Bay has a bright future.” He mentioned how easy it was to see how much Love has learned from Rodgers and that it felt like Rodgers was still in the game with how decisive Love was with his throws.
Now the rest of the NFL finally knows what the Packers organization has seen in Jordan Love. His future is, indeed, very bright.

The 2022 Green Bay Packers season has not gone as planned (thus far). As a result of injuries and other factors, players that were backups are now in positions to be major contributors. One of these players is defensive back Keisean Nixon.
Keisean Nixon came to the Green Bay Packers in free agency. Before becoming the Packers kick returner, Nixon played for the Las Vegas Raiders. Of course, current special teams coach Rich Bisaccia held the same title in Las Vegas (along with being the interim head coach in 2021). When the Raiders released Nixon, Bisaccia encouraged the Packers' front office to bring him to Green Bay.
When the Packers first signed Nixon, it was with the understanding that he would be a special teams contributor. However, Nixon also showed flashes of brilliant play as a defensive back during training camp. His play was enough for the Packers to add him to the 53-man roster.
Though Keisean Nixon did not see much playing time to start the season, he has become one of the team's most important players. While playing 20% of the Packers' defensive plays so far, he has registered 15 tackles and a forced fumble. As a kick returner, Nixon has three consecutive games with over 100 return yards, bringing life to a position where the Packers have historically struggled.
In Philadelphia this week, Nixon had 172 kickoff return yards, tying for the 10th most for a single game in Packers history. He currently ranks second in the league in kick return average (minimum of 20 returns).
