The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 to win Super Bowl LVII. It was an incredibly exciting game, a back-and-forth affair that reminded fans why the NFL reigns supreme among American sports. The win also means that former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (MVS) and former Wisconsin Badgers linebacker Leo Chenal are now Chiefs Super Bowl Champions.
While MVS did not record a catch on one target in Super Bowl LVII, he played a major role in the Chiefs’ offense all season. He recorded a career-high 42 receptions, and his 687 receiving yards were the second-most of his career (690 in 2020).
MVS was crucial in getting the Chiefs to the Super Bowl with his performance against Cincinnati in the AFC Championship. MVS had six receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown in that contest.
The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Leo Chenal in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He spent most of the season in a reserve role, recording 19 tackles and a sack. However, he saved the biggest performance of his rookie season for the Super Bowl.
Against the Eagles, Chenal recorded six tackles and a sack. Amazingly, Chenal did not record a tackle in any of the Chiefs’ prior playoff games this postseason. His stunning performance in Super Bowl LVII is subsequently a sign of great things to come for the young linebacker.

Collins played safety for the Green Bay Packers for a total of seven seasons and 95 games. By the end of his career he had a total of 21 interceptions, four of which were returned for touchdowns, 342 total tackles, and four fumbles recovered, just to name a few of his contributions to the Green Bay defense.
During Super Bowl XLV, Collins contributed to the victory by picking off an under-thrown pass thrown by Ben Roethlisberger in the first quarter, and took it back for a 37-yard touchdown making the score 14-0 Packers. He finished the game with four solo tackles and one pass defended.
